Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Do you ever admire musicians who play in a band ? What about that guitar playing cousin of yours who is always in the spot light during family gatherings? Many times, it is the desire for performing that motivates people to learn the guitar. With the internet, it is very easy to get started learning how to play guitar with free online guitar lessons.

First things first, there are many challenges that a beginner guitar player will face. One of the most common issues for the novice guitarist is to sieve through an overwhelming load of resources online to learn the guitar. On many occasions, the online guitar lessons are not suitable or too difficult to understand for the beginner guitarist.

The first thing that a beginner guitarist needs to learn is to be able tune his instrument. If the guitar is not tuned correctly, whatever that is played will sound weird and crappy. This is something that all beginner guitarists should avoid as it would severely hamper your musical growth if they were to start practicing on an out of tuned guitar.

There is plenty of other guitar knowledge that you should build up to facilitate your progress in playing the guitar. Typically, learning guitar online with the proper resources can really give you a headstart since you would be able to learn at your own pace and time. A final piece of advice, always remain positive and stay focus when learning something new. A proper mindset in learning how to play the guitar will enable you to overcome challenges in playing the guitar.

How to Succeed Investing in the Stock Market

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Though the current state of the economy is improving, it is a far cry from the boom of the mid 2000’s. While job losses are finally evening out, employers have yet to start aggressively hiring again. This leaves many out of work or looking for ways to improve their income.

One tried and true way to make money is the stock market. However, the stock market can be confusing and dangerous for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing. So to make sure that a foray into the market is successful, potential investors should seek out advice.

Many people out there offer investment services. The problem is that these services can be extremely expensive. Investment advice from a tried and true professional can offset the money that can be gained by the investment itself.

When faced with this dilemma, the best course of action is to find a free stock market course. A free stock market course can give an eager investor a ton of great information to help with investing hard earned money into a complex system.

A free stock market seminar is another great tool to take advantage of. A great majority of the time a free investment seminar can be found in just about any community. Attending one of these seminars can have a drastic affect on the profitability of a novice’s investments.

Now with the growth of the internet, really helpful investment advice can be found online. Seminars and courses are offered all over the internet and should be taken advantage of. Especially if they are free!

Rock Your Socks Off with GH4 World Tour

Rock the biggest set list ,with the biggest artists. Record and release your own singles. Rock the drums and guitar to 15 all new tracks and engage in multiplayer battles against live opponents. New songs are added monthly.

There have been many, many Guitar Hero games released in short span of time. It is starting to feel like the franchise is being taken for all it is worth. New for 2009, custom design your own Guitar Hero 4 World Tour guitar! Mix and match guitar heads, necks and bodies to create your own custom riff-tastic axe. IOW, don’t for a moment think Guitar Hero is a substitute for learning the real thing. If it increases desire, it will also increase frustration when the novice picks up an axe and endures real shredding of the fingertips and the months of soreness.

If you’ve played all the Guitar Hero games before World Tour and you’re only interested in playing guitar, then you’ll find little of value here. But if you liked all of the early songs and have always wished you could play the drumming and singing parts, then Smash Hits is worth a closer look. Guitar Hero and Rock Band let players put the performance back into recorded music, reanimating it with their physical engagement and performance adrenaline. Players become live performers of pre-recorded songs, a phenomenon that I call schizophonic performance . Technically, you could play Guitar Hero on a standard PS2 controller, if you wanted to, but it’s not nearly as interesting without the guitar. Also worth noting, the guitar isn’t compatible with Konami’s Guitar Freaks games, so if you’re looking to replace your increasingly rare and somewhat flimsy Konami guitars, you’re out of luck.

It’s a pedal for Guitar Hero (and presumably Rock Band) that controls the strumming and whammy bar functions, so people with only one good arm can rock out like everyone else. Heckendorn built the pedal for the Games for Health conference. It is an odd sensation, to watch a young man control the sounds of a rock song with a toy instrument, but this is “Guitar Hero,” one of the most popular video game franchises in recent memory. Blake is one of the better players in the country. Just another example of how, IMO, Activision has totally milked the Guitar Hero franchise for all that it is worth. They have sent the GH brand right down the crap tubes and this time next year, no one will even give a rat’s turd about the GH franchise (also, see where Activision has enlisted as the “Guitar Hero Studio Nazi’s for the RIAA to prevent cover tunes from being created in GH: World Tour).

We reviewed Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero On Tour in one feature : they both fit under the umbrella of terrible ideas that were sure to make a ton of money. Guitar Hero: World Tour was certainly worth the money, but it can’t beat the feature set of Rock Band 2 . They’re the bands of rock stars, and in Guitar Hero, it’s your chance to take their place. The body is a discrete circuit that amplifies a digital signal to fire a solenoid actuator used to press buttons on the Guitar Hero game controller.

If I’m going to play guitar hero it’s because I want to hear the song. And playing a game with a controller in your hand gives a lot more immersion and enjoyment than staring at visualizations on the computer.Musical videogames are no replacement for learning how to play music, but not everybody wants to learn how to play music. But these are still songs you’ve strummed through before (except for the songs from Guitar Hero Rocks the 80s ; nobody played that game). Futhermore; since the release of Guitar Hero much respect for the actual guitarist and the years of effort he/she devotes to the craft. By playing the game, respect is gained not lost for the real artist.
