Beware! Loan Modification Scams are Booming!

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Did you read this article on Salon.com late last month? Entitled, “Why loan modification scams are booming,” it’s all about how bad things are getting for the unwary borrower who is in danger of foreclosure, needs a loan modification, doesn’t know where to turn, and makes the mistake of falling prey to one of the hundreds of shady “foreclosure rescue” companies who are currently out there looking for victims to rip off.

According to the article, “…law enforcement agencies at all levels across the country have filed suit against 150 such companies, but they continue to proliferate, and the number of consumer complaints continues to rise.”

As an example, it mentions one particular company–21st Century Legal Services–who has been sued by four states and is under investigation by at least three more.

“Over 150 consumers from more than 30 states have filed complaints against 21st Century with the Better Business Bureau,” the article says. “No active firm has more complaints. Yet the company forges on. Operating under a new name, Fidelity National Legal Services, it continues to solicit consumers nationwide, even in states where authorities have won court injunctions.”

I’ll let you read the rest of the article yourself for more gory details about these scam artists, but the point is that the number of companies charging up-front fees and making guarantees they can’t deliver is increasing, not decreasing, so the problem is getting worse, not better. That means it’s even more important that homeowners who find themselves facing foreclosure know where to turn for real, honest help so that they don’t get duped by these unscrupulous crooks.

An assisted loan modification program, like the one offered by The Homeowner Center, provides borrowers with all the genuine help and one-on-one guidance they need to process their loan modification themselves–and at a fraction of the price. So, let’s all be vigilant and spread the word! Let’s do all we can to keep these con artists from claiming any more innocent victims!

Save Money with Clone Golf Clubs

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

Golfing is an exciting recreational sport. Don’t get caught playing old, worn-out clubs just because you can’t afford new clubs. There are several different golf club makers that market directly to Individuals. You will get some great clubs and you will save a lot of money too .

The golf clubs you get are called clone clubs because they are similar to more expensive name-brand golf clubs. These clubs have all the same new club technology that makes it simple to get the ball in the air and have more fun. New club designs make it easy to hit the ball a long way. This technologically advanced golf equipment makes the game of golf accessible to everyone.

The great thing is that you save a lot of money by purchasing your golf clubs directly from the manufacturer . The golf sets they sell are assembled with quality components and assembled to fit your measurements. So what you get is a set of custom-built clubs at a fraction of the price of the expensive brands.

Considering the current bad economy, everyone is looking for a a way to save money, even in the golf equipment they buy. Consider that a new set of name brand golf irons can cost over $1000. Or you can get a set of clone irons for less than $150.

While the irons can be the priciest part of your golf club set, a brand new driver is awfully expensive too. Some new golf drivers sell for over $500! You can get amazing clone drivers that play similar to more expensive Ping drivers, Callaway drivers and TaylorMade drivers. But they only cost about $100 and the driver will be built to your specifications.

Knock off golf clubs are a brilliant cost saving measure, so you can get brand new golf clubs without breaking the bank. And with the money you save, you will have the money to spend on green fees so you can enjoy the clubs on the golf course. As far as I’m concerned, that’s what it’s all about .
