Don’t Get Caught Out This Year. Buy Your ToysEarly!
The number one kids toy trend this year isn’t a toy or game – believe it or not but this year it’s all about low prices online and in the toy shops. Three months before the seasonal tide and massive rush to the toy shops, and the deals are already appearing in the high streets already in most shopping centres and online toy stores. Shops are giving huge reductions and showing their hand earlier than 12 months ago, to try and counter the lower sales expected in the holiday period. It’s an especially critical time for toy sellers, which generate 40 percent of annual sales in the last three months of the year, so getting some momentum is crucial in the run up to November.
The recent recession last year left the toy industry in the lurch and little time to react with what was on the shelves and many were left with stock destined for the sales period. Not this year} shops will be looking to put smiles on the consumers face and offering lower price products and bundles.
Also with many other big names opting to sell toys and make the most of the rush over this peak period, prices will be squeezed even further. The likes of Play, HMV joining the mix will only make it harder for the smaller independant retailers, but often a better deal can gained here.
Barbie has a strong presence again with the following toys promising to be best sellers; Barbie shower and Horse set, Barbie Salon Set and Barbie Fairytastic doll. Other boys toys proving popular will be Ben 10 and Transformers.
